Our Program
Program Duration: 4–6 weeks
Sessions Offered: After-school, Summer, and Winter Break
Target Participants: Middle and high school students (grades 6–12) identified as at risk or previously engaged in RY and CAST programming
Format: 3 days per week, 4 hours per session
Cohort Size: 15–20 students
Delivery Sites: School campuses, community hubs, and partner locations (offered in-person and hybrid formats)
Weekly Themes & Focus Areas
Week 1: Foundations of Identity and Belonging
Activities centered on team-building, student-led dialogue, values exploration, and personal storytelling to foster trust and community connection
Week 2: Exploring the Future of Work & Sustainability
Introduction to emerging sectors including clean transportation, renewable energy, and environmental innovation, with a focus on regional workforce trends
Week 3: Foundational Career Competencies & Social-Emotional Learning
Skill-building in emotional regulation, effective communication, peer collaboration, and conflict resolution through interactive group challenges
Week 4: Workplace & Life Readiness
Practical coaching on resume development, job applications, interview techniques, and professional conduct in various career settings
Week 5: Applied Workforce Engagement Week
Hands-on experiences through industry exposure, student-driven sustainability projects, and engagement with professionals via site visits and career panels
Week 6: Portfolio Showcase & Community Celebration
Student-led presentations featuring individual portfolios, peer recognition, and a culminating event with family, mentors, and program partners
