Family Engagement Program

Strengthening Connections Between Families, Schools, and Communities

Families play a vital role in student success. RY, Inc. offers two distinct Family Engagement program components. Schools, districts, and community organizations can select the option that best fits their needs or implement both as part of a broader family engagement strategy.

Family Engagement Facilitator Training

Build Sustainable, In‑House Capacity

Equip your staff with the skills and confidence to deliver the four session Family Engagement curriculum. This trauma informed, research based model helps parents, guardians, and caregivers strengthen communication, build resilience, and support youth well being.

What Your Team Gains

  • Research based curriculum training
  • Trauma informed facilitation strategies

  • Tools to support families in communication, mood management, and school success
  • Confidence to deliver sessions with fidelity

Flexible Delivery Options

Once trained, your staff can deliver Family Engagement sessions:

  • In person or remotely
  • To groups or individual caregiving units

  • As home visits, on campus, or in community settings

  • Weekly over four weeks or extended across 6 to 12 weeks

This option is ideal for organizations seeking to build long term internal capacity and expand their family engagement efforts sustainably.

Together on Tuesdays

Direct Service for Schools and Community Organizations

Together on Tuesdays is a six week, facilitator led family engagement and prevention series delivered directly by RY, Inc. Families, educators, and community partners participate in weekly sessions.

Weekly Focus Areas

  • Mental health awareness
  • Digital well being
  • Substance use prevention
  • Resilience building
  • Strengthening home–school communication

This program provides immediate, high quality direct service for schools or agencies that want expert facilitation without needing to train internal staff.

A Complete Family Engagement Strategy

By offering both training and direct service, RY, Inc. supports organizations in:

  • Strengthening home–school partnerships
  • Increasing family engagement and communication
  • Improving protective factors for youth
  • Building sustainable systems of support

Schools and community organizations may choose either program component or implement both for a comprehensive, multi layered approach to family engagement.

Who Can Participate?

Any parent, guardian, or caregiver of youth in your setting is welcome to participate.

This program was designed for the key adults supporting youth enrolled in our CAST and Reconnecting Youth programs. It introduces many of the same skills their child is learning and helps adults reinforce and support those skills at home, at school, and in the community.

That said, every parent and caregiver deserves meaningful outreach, engagement, and support. Strong SEL roadmaps and efforts to strengthen school climate, school connectedness, and community connectedness consistently emphasize the importance of involving families, and your team plays a vital role in making those connections possible.
